Eugenia rhombea – Red Stopper

Eugenia rhomea - red stopper

Red stopper (Eugenia rhombea) is one of four species of Eugenia native to Florida. It is a rare, state-endangered species that occurs in Miami-Dade County and the Florida Keys. Red stopper is easy to grow in well-drained soil in full shade to full sun but it is extremely slow growing. When grown in full sun, it will require supplemental watering during prolonged dry spells.
